Hammond PJ744P221 1-Hole 22mm Fiberglass Pushbutton Enclosure

The PJ744P221 is the 22mm single-hole member of the PJPB Series: a gray fiberglass polyester pushbutton enclosure punched for one 22.5mm device such as a pushbutton, selector or pilot light operator. It is intended for installers who need insulation and protection where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, and it is suited to high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.

The enclosure and its matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester that can easily be punched, cut, or drilled. The cover is secured by four captive stainless steel screws in #10-32 threaded brass inserts, sealed by a captive oil resistant gasket. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect it against outdoor weathering.

External size is 6.74 in H x 3.93 in W x 3.88 in D (171 mm x 100 mm x 99 mm), and the listed shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Mounting is through rear holes on the enclosure using #8 x 1 inch screws (not included). An optional aluminum inner panel, PJP74 (4.00 in x 3.13 in, natural finish), is offered for this size. The PJ744P221 shares its body size with PJ744P1, which is punched for a 30.5mm device instead.

The series carries UL 508A and CSA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66. Operating temperature is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), impact index 6.78J (5 ft/lb), and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
