The PJ18168P42 is a forty-two hole pushbutton enclosure for 30.5mm devices with a lift off screw cover, the largest lift off size in the PJPBLC Series. It suits OEMs and system integrators building big operator panels that need outstanding insulation and protection where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet.
The box and matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with a 0.14 in (3.57 mm) wall per the drawing, and are easily punched, cut, or drilled. Four 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings thread into #10-32 brass inserts, sealing on a captive oil resistant gasket shown as FIP polyurethane on the drawing. Four 316 stainless steel mounting feet fasten to rear brass inserts, and enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering.
The PJ18168P42 measures 18.40 in H x 16.40 in W x 8.13 in D (467 mm x 417 mm x 207 mm), with a shipping weight of 16 lbs (7.26 kg). Internal threaded brass inserts accept the optional P1868 inner panel (16.88 in x 14.88 in) or a terminal kit. The hinged cover version is PJ18168HP42.
The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66. The series is intended for applications with high temperatures or highly corrosive environments, with operating temperatures from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F) and an impact index of 6.78J (5 ft/lb).
