Hammond PJ14126L 14 x 12 x 6 in Snap Latch Fiberglass Enclosure

The PJ14126L is a 14.13 in high, 12.26 in wide, 6.13 in deep (359 x 311 x 156 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure made from fiberglass reinforced polyester. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring, particularly where equipment may be hosed down, is very wet, or faces high temperatures or highly corrosive environments.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and they are easily punched, cut or drilled. According to the drawing, the door is carried on a stainless steel hinge (continuous, per the series) and fastened by two lockable stainless steel draw-type snap latches that include a provision for padlocking. The seal is a closed cell neoprene gasket, described in the series data as captive and oil resistant.

Equipment mounts on the optional 14R1311 inner panel, 12.75 x 10.88 in (324 x 276 mm), which fastens to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws; panels come in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to rear brass inserts with stainless steel screws for wall installation.

The PJ14126L is listed UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. Operating temperatures run from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), impact index is 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), it is RoHS and REACH compliant, and shipping weight is 9 lbs (4.08 kg).
