The PJ12124RT is a square, shallow Type 4X enclosure with a raised solid lid. The series ordering table lists it at 12.13 x 12.13 x 4.13 in (308 x 308 x 105 mm), while the part page gives 12.32 x 12.32 x 4 in (313 x 313 x 102 mm). It is aimed at terminal wiring enclosures, electrical junction boxes and instrument or control housings exposed to hose-down, heavy moisture, high temperature or corrosive chemicals.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors, and both can be easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing specifies two 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches, a 316 stainless steel hinge, a FIP polyurethane gasket and a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall. The draw-type latches include a provision for padlocking.
The optional 14R1111 inner panel measures 10.75 x 10.88 in (273 x 276 mm) and mounts on #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws; drawn back panel thicknesses are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and 0.125 in fiberglass. Four 316 stainless steel feet fasten to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with 316 stainless screws, and mounting hardware is included.
The PJ12124RT carries UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 listings, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and ships at 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
