Hammond PJ12124RL 12x12x4 In Type 4X Solid Raised Lid Fiberglass Box

The PJ12124RL is a shallow, near-square PJ series junction box with a solid raised lid. The series ordering table gives the enclosure as 13.33 x 11.85 x 4.13 in (339 x 301 x 105 mm), while the part page lists a size of 12.32 x 12.32 x 4 in (313 x 313 x 102 mm). It is a practical choice for terminal wiring and instrument housings that must stay sealed in wet, hosed-down, hot or corrosive conditions.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors. The drawing shows a .13 in (3.30 mm) wall, an FIP polyurethane gasket, a 316 stainless steel hinge and (2X) stainless steel lockable snap latches with padlock provision. The polyester is easily punched, cut or drilled for entries.

Inside, four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws support the optional 14R1111 inner panel, listed at 12.32 x 13.72 in (313 x 348 mm). Rear mounting uses four 316 stainless steel feet on #10-32 brass inserts with 316 stainless steel screws, and the foot holes are .34 in (8.74 mm).

Series ratings: UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13; cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94; compliance with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. Operating temperature is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F) and impact index 6.78 J (5 ft/lb). The PJ12124RL is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
