Hammond PJ12106RL 12x10x6 In Type 4X Solid Raised Lid Fiberglass Box

The PJ12106RL is a 12 x 10 x 6 PJ series junction box with a solid raised lid. Listed at 12.13 x 10.26 x 6.13 in (308 x 261 x 156 mm) in the ordering table, it gives panel builders and electricians a mid-size non-metallic housing for terminal wiring, instrumentation and control components in hose-down, wet, hot or corrosive areas.

This size steps up to two latches: the drawing shows (2X) 316 stainless steel lockable snap latches closing the cover onto an FIP polyurethane gasket, with a 316 stainless steel hinge. The draw-type latches include a padlock provision. Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the wall thickness is .14 in (3.55 mm). The enclosure is easily punched, cut or drilled.

The optional 14R1109 inner panel, 10.75 x 8.88 in (273 x 226 mm), mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws; panels come in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. For wall mounting, four 316 stainless steel feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts with 316 stainless steel screws, and the feet have .34 in (8.74 mm) holes.

The PJ12106RL carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type ratings per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated 130°C to -40°C with a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships at 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
