The PJ12124RH is a shallow, square Type 4X junction box with a raised solid cover that opens on a continuous 316 stainless steel hinge. The ordering table lists 12.13 in H x 12.13 in W x 4.13 in D (308 x 308 x 105 mm); the part page size is 12.32 x 12.32 x 4 in (313 x 313 x 102 mm). It is meant for instrument enclosures, control housings for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, junction boxes and terminal wiring.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors. The drawing shows a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall, and the material can be punched, cut or drilled on site. It is rated for 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F) with an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb).
Two 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings close the door into #10-32 brass inserts, and the fasteners provide for padlocking. A captive oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket seals the lid for hose-down and very wet service.
Listings cover UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and the box complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
Four 316 stainless steel feet attach to rear brass inserts for wall mounting, and the optional 14R1111 inner panel (10.75 x 10.88 in / 273 x 276 mm) mounts inside. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
