Hammond PJ12124R 12x12x4 in Raised Lift-Off Solid Cover Junction Box

The PJ12124R is a square, shallow Type 4X junction box in fiberglass reinforced polyester, with a raised lift-off solid cover. The series ordering table lists it at 12.13 in H x 12.13 in W x 4.13 in D (308 x 308 x 105 mm), and the part page gives a size of 12.32 x 12.32 x 4 in (313 x 313 x 102 mm). It is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The 0.13 in (3.30 mm) walls are easy to punch, cut or drill, the impact index is 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and the operating range is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F).

Four 316 stainless steel captive screws with retaining O-rings secure the cover into #10-32 brass inserts, sealing against a captive oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket. The PJ12124R is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, and as a lift-off solid cover model it also meets Type 6P. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.

Four 316 stainless steel feet mount on rear brass inserts, with stainless hardware included. The optional 14R1111 inner panel measures 10.75 x 10.88 in (273 x 276 mm). Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
