Hammond PJ12124H 12x12x4 Hinged Cover Fiberglass Type 4X Box

The PJ12124H is a square Type 4X polyester junction box with a hinged screw cover. Its PJ Series table size is 12.13 in H x 12.13 in W x 4.13 in D (308 x 308 x 105 mm), and the part page lists 12.32 x 12.32 x 4 in (313 x 313 x 102 mm). It suits instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures where equipment may be hosed down, be very wet, or face high temperatures or highly corrosive conditions.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall thickness on the drawing, and can be easily punched, cut or drilled. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering. The cover swings on a 316 stainless steel hinge and closes with two 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings in #10-32 brass inserts, sealing on a captive, oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket.

Four 316 stainless steel feet mount on rear brass inserts with 316 stainless steel screws, for 13.96 in (354.66 mm) overall height as drawn. Inside, #10-32 threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R1111 inner panel (10.75 x 10.88 in, 273 x 276 mm) or a terminal kit, with mounting hardware included. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).

Ratings are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, with compliance to NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. Operating temperature is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F). The PJ12124H is RoHS and REACH compliant.
