Hammond PJ12126H 12x12x6 In Hinged Screw-Cover Type 4X Fiberglass Box

The PJ12126H is the hinged-cover version of the 12.13 in square, 6.13 in deep enclosure in the PJ Type 4X polyester junction box family. It is built for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, especially where equipment may be hosed down, get very wet, or sit in high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.

Both box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled for conduit and device openings. On this part the drawing shows a 316 stainless steel hinge, two #10-32 brass inserts with 316 stainless steel captive cover screws held by retaining O-rings, a formed-in-place (FIP) polyurethane gasket and a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall.

The ordering table lists the enclosure at 12.13 x 12.13 x 6.13 in (308 x 308 x 156 mm); the part page gives a nominal size of 12.32 x 12.32 x 6 in (313 x 313 x 152 mm). Four 10-32 brass inserts accept the optional 14R1111 inner panel, which measures 10.75 x 10.88 in (273 x 276 mm) and is offered in aluminum, white steel or fiberglass.

For wall mounting, four 316 stainless steel feet attach to brass inserts in the rear of the box with 316 stainless screws; each foot has a 0.34 in (8.74 mm) hole. The PJ12126H carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL listings per CSA 22.2 No. 94, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, and is rated for 130°C to -40°C operation with a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index. It ships at 8 lbs (3.63 kg) and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
