Hammond PJ14126 14x12x6 In Lift-Off Cover Type 4X/6P Fiberglass Box

The PJ14126 is a lift-off screw-cover junction box from the PJ Type 4X polyester series, sized 14.13 in high, 12.26 in wide and 6.13 in deep (359 x 311 x 156 mm). It suits instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures that face hose-down, very wet, high-temperature or highly corrosive conditions.

This is one of the lift-off cover sizes marked Type 6P/IP68 in the series ordering table, in addition to the series UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 listings (cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94) and IEC 60529 IP66 compliance.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors, and can be punched, cut or drilled on site. The drawing for the PJ14126 shows four #10-32 brass inserts with stainless steel captive cover screws on retaining O-rings, and a closed cell neoprene gasket. Four further #10-32 brass inserts carry the optional 14R1311 inner panel, 12.75 x 10.88 in (324 x 276 mm), with plated carbon steel screws; back panels are offered in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass.

Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten into rear brass inserts with stainless screws, giving 15.84 in (402.39 mm) overall over the feet and 0.34 in (8.74 mm) mounting holes. The enclosure operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, weighs 9 lbs (4.08 kg) shipped, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
