The PJ1084RW is a 10.13 x 8.26 x 4.13 in (257 x 210 x 105 mm) Type 4X junction box in fiberglass reinforced polyester, with a raised lift-off cover that includes a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It is built for instrument enclosures, junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings in places that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. Four stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings hold the cover in #10-32 brass inserts, and the drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket, described in the series as captive and oil resistant.
