The PJ1084RH is a 10.13 x 8.26 x 4.13 in (257 x 210 x 105 mm) Type 4X junction box in fiberglass reinforced polyester whose raised solid cover is hinged rather than lift-off. It is suited to junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures, instrument enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, hot or exposed to highly corrosive conditions.
The compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester box and cover are gray, carry enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover turns on a stainless steel hinge, continuous per the series, and is fastened with two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings in #10-32 brass inserts. The drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket for the seal.

The PJ1084RH carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94 listings and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
