The PCJ884LF is the solid-cover, flange-mount version of the 8 x 8 x 4 in (203 x 203 x 102 mm) metal-latch PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box. External flanges keep the mounting fasteners outside the sealed enclosure, and the series is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors and outdoors, including pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants.
The injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic body and matching cover are light gray, UV stabilized with enhanced inhibitors, and easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover is hinged on a stainless steel pin and secured by a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center, with provision for padlocking. The drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket.
Enclosure dimensions are 7.94 in H x 8.15 in W x 3.98 in D (202 x 207 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0808 inner panel (6.75 x 6.88 in / 171 x 175 mm) mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts using plated carbon steel truss screws, with back panel stock of 0.100 in aluminum or 0.075 in white steel shown.
Two polycarbonate flanges are glued to the box, with four #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws, and four 0.34 in (8.65 mm) mounting holes. Series ratings: UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13; IEC 60529 IP66; V-0 per UL 94; f1 per UL746C; RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ884LF ships at 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
