The PCJ884CCLF is the clear-cover, flange-mount model of the 8 x 8 x 4 in (203 x 203 x 102 mm) metal-latch PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box. It is built to insulate and protect controls and components in indoor and outdoor settings, with the series pointing to industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants. The clear cover makes status lights and wiring visible without opening the box.
The light gray body is injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic with enhanced UV inhibitors, easily punched, cut or drilled; the cover is clear polycarbonate. A stainless steel hinge pin carries the cover and a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center secures it, with a padlocking provision. The drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket.
The enclosure measures 7.94 in H x 8.15 in W x 3.98 in D (202 x 207 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0808 inner panel is 6.75 x 6.88 in (171 x 175 mm) and mounts to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; back panel thicknesses shown are 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel.
Two polycarbonate flanges are glued to the box, supported by four #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws, and provide four 0.34 in (8.65 mm) mounting holes. Series ratings are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, UL 94 V-0 and UL746C f1, with RoHS and REACH compliance. The PCJ884CCLF ships at 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
