Hammond PCJ884L 8x8x4 Polycarbonate Junction Box, Latch Cover and Feet

The PCJ884L is a square 8 x 8 x 4 in (203 x 203 x 102 mm) Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid hinged cover, a stainless steel snap latch and four polycarbonate feet. As a metal-latch PCJ Series enclosure it is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors and outdoors, and the series names industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants as ideal applications.

Body and cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic in a light gray finish, UV stabilized with enhanced inhibitors and easy to punch, cut or drill. The cover pivots on a stainless steel hinge pin and closes with a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center, which allows padlocking. The seal is a closed cell neoprene gasket per the drawing.

Enclosure dimensions are 7.94 in H x 8.15 in W x 3.98 in D (202 x 207 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0808 inner panel measures 6.75 x 6.88 in (171 x 175 mm) and attaches to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel back panels are shown.

Four polycarbonate feet with #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel screws give four 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes. The series is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, is V-0 per UL 94 and f1 per UL746C, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ884L has a shipping weight of 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
