Hammond PCJ864CCLF 8x6x4 Clear Cover Polycarbonate Box, Flange Mount

The PCJ864CCLF is an 8 x 6 x 4 in (203 x 152 x 102 mm) Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a hinged clear cover and external mounting flanges, from the metal-latch PCJ Series. It is intended to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions, with the series naming pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants as typical uses.

The body is injection moulded light gray polycarbonate thermoplastic and the cover is clear polycarbonate. Enhanced UV inhibitors resist outdoor weathering and the box is easily punched, cut or drilled. A stainless steel hinge pin supports the cover, and a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center keeps it shut and can take a padlock. The gasket is closed cell neoprene per the drawing.

The PCJ864CCLF measures 7.94 in H x 6.16 in W x 3.98 in D (202 x 156 x 101 mm). Its optional inner panel is PCJR0705, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm), secured to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; the drawing lists 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel back panels.

Two polycarbonate flanges are glued to the box, with four #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws, and eight R.170 (4.32 mm) mounting slots. The series is UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, UL 94 V-0 and UL746C f1, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
