Hammond PCJ864CCL 8x6x4 Clear Cover Polycarbonate Box with Feet

The PCJ864CCL is an 8 x 6 x 4 in (203 x 152 x 102 mm) Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a hinged clear cover and four polycarbonate mounting feet. It belongs to the metal-latch PCJ Series, which is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors and outdoors, with applications named in industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants. The clear cover lets a technician read indicators or inspect wiring without opening the box.

The light gray body is injection moulded polycarbonate with enhanced UV inhibitors; it can be punched, cut or drilled for entries. The clear polycarbonate cover hinges on a stainless steel pin and closes with a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center, which provides for padlocking. A closed cell neoprene gasket is specified on the drawing.

This taller format measures 7.94 in H x 6.16 in W x 3.98 in D (202 x 156 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0705 inner panel measures 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm) and fastens to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; back panels are shown in 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel.

Four polycarbonate feet are fixed with #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel screws, with four 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes. Series ratings are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, V-0 per UL 94 and f1 per UL746C, and it is RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ864CCL lists a shipping weight of 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
