Hammond PCJ443L 4x4x3 Polycarbonate Junction Box, Solid Latch Cover

The PCJ443L is a compact Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid hinged cover and stainless steel snap latch, sized at a nominal 4 x 4 x 3 in (102 x 102 x 76 mm). It is the smallest solid-cover metal-latch model in the PCJ Series and suits electricians and OEMs who need to insulate and protect a few terminals or a small control device in indoor or outdoor conditions, including pump controls, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plant sites.

Injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic forms both body and cover in a light gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors against weathering; the material can be punched, cut or drilled. The cover rides on a moulded hinge with a 316 stainless steel hinge pin, and a 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch keeps it closed and allows padlocking. The seal is a FIP polyurethane gasket, and wall thickness is 0.14 in (3.68 mm) per the drawing.

The enclosure measures 3.95 in H x 3.95 in W x 3.31 in D (100 x 100 x 84 mm). For internal mounting, the optional PCJR0303 inner panel (3.56 x 3.56 in / 90 x 90 mm) fastens with four 316 stainless steel panel screws; the drawing shows back panel options in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and 0.188 in PVC.

The PCJ443L stands on four polycarbonate feet secured with 316 stainless steel screws, with four 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes. Series ratings include UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, UL 94 V-0 and UL746C f1, plus RoHS and REACH compliance. Shipping weight is 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
