Hammond PCJ443CCL 4x4x3 Clear Cover Polycarbonate Box, Snap Latch

The PCJ443CCL is the smallest clear-cover model in the metal-latch PCJ Series, a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box measuring a nominal 4 x 4 x 3 in (102 x 102 x 76 mm). The transparent hinged cover makes it easy to check a small device or terminal without tools, and the box is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors or outdoors, in applications such as pump controls, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plants.

The body is injection moulded polycarbonate in light gray and the clear cover is polycarbonate; both are UV stabilized and easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover swings on a moulded hinge with a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and closes with a 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch that includes a provision for padlocking. A FIP polyurethane gasket seals the cover, and the drawing lists a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall.

Enclosure dimensions are 3.95 in H x 3.95 in W x 3.31 in D (100 x 100 x 84 mm). The optional PCJR0303 inner panel is 3.56 x 3.56 in (90 x 90 mm) and is held with four 316 stainless steel panel screws; back panel options on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and 0.188 in PVC.

Four polycarbonate feet with 316 stainless steel screws provide four 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes. The metal-latch series is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, is V-0 per UL 94 and f1 per UL746C, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight of the PCJ443CCL is 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
