The PCJ1084LF is the solid-cover, flange-mount version of the 10 x 8 x 4 in (254 x 203 x 102 mm) metal-latch PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box. It is built to insulate and protect controls and components in indoor and outdoor locations, with the series listing industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants. Glued-on flanges let it be fixed to a wall or structure without drilling through the enclosure back.
The injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic body and cover are light gray, protected by enhanced UV inhibitors and easy to punch, cut or drill. A stainless steel hinge pin supports the cover and a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center holds it closed, with a provision for padlocking. The drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket.
Enclosure dimensions are 9.93 in H x 8.15 in W x 3.98 in D (252 x 207 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0907 inner panel measures 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm) and attaches to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel back panels are shown.
Four polycarbonate flanges are glued to the box with four #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws, and offer four 0.34 in (8.65 mm) mounting holes. The series is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, is V-0 per UL 94 and f1 per UL746C, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ1084LF ships at 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
