Hammond PCJ1084L 10x8x4 Polycarbonate Junction Box, Latch Cover and Feet

The PCJ1084L is a 10 x 8 x 4 in (254 x 203 x 102 mm) Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid hinged cover and four polycarbonate feet. As a mid-depth member of the metal-latch PCJ Series, it gives room for terminals, relays and small controls, and is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors and outdoors in applications such as pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants.

Body and cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic in light gray, UV stabilized with enhanced inhibitors, and easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover turns on a stainless steel hinge pin and closes with a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center, which can be padlocked. The drawing shows a closed cell neoprene gasket.

Enclosure dimensions are 9.93 in H x 8.15 in W x 3.98 in D (252 x 207 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0907 inner panel (8.75 x 6.88 in / 222 x 175 mm) mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; the drawing shows 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel back panels.

Four polycarbonate feet with #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel screws provide four 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes. The series is UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, UL 94 V-0 and UL746C f1, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ1084L ships at 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
