The PCJ1084CCLF is the clear-cover, flange-mount model of the 10 x 8 x 4 in (254 x 203 x 102 mm) metal-latch PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box. It is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions; the series names industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants. The clear cover keeps indicators and wiring in view, while external flanges keep fixings outside the enclosure.
The light gray body is injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic with enhanced UV inhibitors and can be punched, cut or drilled; the cover is clear polycarbonate. It hinges on a stainless steel hinge pin and is secured by a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center with padlocking provision. A closed cell neoprene gasket is specified on the drawing.
Enclosure dimensions are 9.93 in H x 8.15 in W x 3.98 in D (252 x 207 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), fastens to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; back panels are listed in 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel.
Four polycarbonate flanges are glued to the box, with four #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws, providing four 0.34 in (8.65 mm) mounting holes. Series ratings: UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13; IEC 60529 IP66; V-0 per UL 94; f1 per UL746C; RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ1084CCLF ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
