Hammond PCJ1082L 10x8x2 Shallow Polycarbonate Junction Box with Feet

The PCJ1082L is a shallow 10 x 8 x 2 in (254 x 203 x 51 mm) Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid hinged cover and four polycarbonate feet. Its 2.70 in (69 mm) enclosure depth makes it a compact choice for terminal strips and flat devices, and like all metal-latch PCJ Series boxes it is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in indoor and outdoor conditions, including pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants.

The enclosure and cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic in light gray, UV stabilized with enhanced inhibitors, and easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover rotates on a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and is secured by a 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center, which includes a padlocking provision. A FIP polyurethane gasket seals the cover.

Enclosure dimensions are 9.93 in H x 8.15 in W x 2.70 in D (252 x 207 x 69 mm). The optional PCJR0907 inner panel measures 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm) and fastens to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws; the drawing shows 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel back panels.

Four polycarbonate feet attach with #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel screws and provide four 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes. The series is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, is V-0 per UL 94 and f1 per UL746C, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ1082L ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
