The PCJ1082LF is the solid-cover, flange-mount version of the shallow 10 x 8 x 2 in (254 x 203 x 51 mm) PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box. With a 2.70 in (69 mm) enclosure depth and external flanges, it mounts flat against a wall or structure and houses low-profile components. The metal-latch series is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions, including pump controls, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plants.
Construction is injection moulded light gray polycarbonate thermoplastic with matching cover, enhanced UV inhibitors, and a body that can be punched, cut or drilled. The hinged cover uses a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and a 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center with a padlocking provision, sealing on a FIP polyurethane gasket.
Enclosure dimensions are 9.93 in H x 8.15 in W x 2.70 in D (252 x 207 x 69 mm). The optional PCJR0907 inner panel (8.75 x 6.88 in / 222 x 175 mm) mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws, and the drawing shows 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel back panel stock.
Two polycarbonate flanges are glued to the box, supported by four #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel flange and feet screws, with four 0.34 in (8.65 mm) mounting holes. Series ratings are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, UL 94 V-0 and UL746C f1, plus RoHS and REACH compliance. Shipping weight of the PCJ1082LF is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
