Hammond PBPS19010BK 6U Solid Steel Rack Blanking Panel, Black

The PBPS19010BK is a 6U solid steel rack blanking panel finished in RAL9005 matte black. It is used to cover unused rack space in 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails so open rack units do not allow hot and cold air to mix, making it a practical airflow-management item for IT, telecom and AV teams maintaining server cabinets, network racks and wall-mount enclosures.

The panel is formed from 14-gauge mild steel (0.072 in) and finished with a smooth powder coat that provides a clean, professional appearance. The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the panel is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility.

This size covers 6 rack units, with a panel height of 10.50 in (267 mm) and a 19.00 in (483 mm) rack mounting width. The drawing shows an overall panel height of 10.47 in (266 mm) and eight 0.250 x 0.375 in mounting slots, giving 8 mounting points for a secure fit across the taller panel span. Shipping weight is 4.1 lbs (1.86 kg). Mounting hardware is not included, so specify rack screws separately.

Because the PBPS19010BK is a solid panel rather than a vented one, it blocks airflow gaps and supports proper front-to-rear cooling in high-density installations and hot aisle / cold aisle containment schemes. It also tidies the rack face by separating equipment groups and concealing empty bays.
