Hammond PA5UWH 5U Rack Rail Width Reducer Panel, White

The PA5UWH is a 5U rack rail width reducer panel used to adapt 23 in and 24 in rack rails so they will accept standard 19 in rackmount equipment. It is aimed at IT and network integrators, telecom technicians and facilities teams who need to install 19 in hardware in wider telecom or legacy frames without modifying the rack or replacing it.

Each reducer is formed from 14-gauge mild steel and finished in matte white powder coat (RAL9003). The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and rounded corners reduce sharp edges during handling and installation. The panels are manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility and are TAA compliant.

PA5UWH covers 5 rack units, with a mounting height of 8.75 in (222 mm); the drawing shows an overall part height of 8.72 in (221 mm) and a 3.12 in (79 mm) top-view dimension. Equipment attaches through EIA-compliant 10-32 tapped mounting holes, while 0.250 x 0.375 oblong slots allow the reducer to be fastened to the existing rack rails. Four 12-24 x 5/8 in mounting screws are supplied, and the reducers are sold in pairs so both left and right rails can be converted in one purchase.
