Hammond PA4UWH 4U Rack Rail Width Reducer, 23 to 19 Inch

The PA4UWH is a 4U rack rail width reducer panel that adapts 23 in or 24 in rack rails to standard 19 in mounting, so ordinary rackmount equipment can be installed in wider telecom or legacy frames. It is sold in pairs, giving you both the left and right rail adaptation needed for a complete 4U mounting position. The finish is matte white (RAL9003).

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel with a powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, providing durable structural support for rack width conversion applications. Rounded corners reduce sharp edges during installation. The panels carry EIA-compliant 10-32 tapped mounting holes for secure, standardized equipment fastening.

Each PA4UWH reducer covers 4 rack units, a mounting height of 7.00 in (178 mm). Drawing dimensions include an overall profile of 6.97 in (177 mm) and 6.50 in (165 mm), a 3.12 in (79 mm) dimension, a 4.00 in (102 mm) dimension and 0.09 in (2 mm) material thickness, with 0.250 x 0.375 in oblong rack-side slots. Mounting hardware is supplied: four 12-24 x 5/8 in screws.

Because the PA4UWH lets existing wider racks accept 19 in hardware, it is a practical alternative to replacing a rack during network and IT infrastructure upgrades, or when consolidating mixed rack standards in a data center or central office. The part is TAA compliant, USMCA compliant, REACH and RoHS compliant, and manufactured in Canada in an ISO 9001 certified facility.
