Hammond MB158055 150x80x55mm Two-Tone Polystyrene Enclosure

The MB158055 is a 150 x 80 mm MB Series enclosure with a 55 mm depth and solid lid. It is a rugged electronic instrument enclosure for printed circuit boards, suited to hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications where a mid-size housing is needed.

It is molded in polystyrene with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and a smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). The front and rear panels are an integral part of the bottom unit. Four cover screws, drawing call-out M3-0.5 x 14mm, thread into integrated brass inserts and are hidden in a recess in the base, which keeps the top clean and allows repeated assembly and disassembly.

Outside dimensions are 5.91 x 3.15 x 2.17 in (150 x 80 x 55 mm). The internal space is 144 x 74 x 48 mm. The solid lid is rated IP40, and the polystyrene carries a UL94 HB flame rating.

The MB158055 ships boxed with the box, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws for the internal standoffs. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Shipping weight is 0.35 lbs (0.16 kg); the part is RoHS and REACH compliant and can be factory modified.
