The MB126540 is a 120 x 65 mm MB Series enclosure with a 40 mm depth and a solid lid. It is designed as a rugged electronic instrument enclosure for mounting printed circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications.
The enclosure is molded in polystyrene and finished in two tones: a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and a smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). Front and rear panels are molded into the bottom unit. The lid is secured with four cover screws, called out as M3-0.5 x 14mm on the drawing, running into integrated brass inserts; the screws sit in a recess in the base where they stay out of view.
Outside dimensions are 4.72 x 2.56 x 1.57 in (120 x 65 x 40 mm), and the internal space measures 114 x 59 x 34 mm. The solid lid is rated IP40 and the material is rated UL94 HB.
The MB126540 ships boxed with the box, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws. Use a cover screw torque of 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Shipping weight is 0.21 lbs (0.10 kg), and the enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant. Solid models are available in STEP or IGES.
