Hammond MB105025 100x50x25mm Two-Tone Polystyrene Box

The MB105025 is the slimmest 100 x 50 mm size in the MB Series of two-tone fixed panel enclosures. It is a rugged instrument box for mounting printed circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications, and suits electronics hobbyists, OEM engineers and panel builders who need a low-height housing.

The enclosure is molded in polystyrene, with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) over a smooth dark gray base (RAL 7012). The front and rear panels are an integral part of the bottom unit. Four cover screws (drawing call-out M3-0.5 x 14mm) thread into integrated brass inserts and sit hidden in a recess in the base, so the lid can be removed and refitted repeatedly.

Outside dimensions are 3.94 x 1.97 x 0.98 in (100 x 50 x 25 mm). Inside, the box offers 94 mm of length, 44 mm of width and 18 mm of depth. The solid lid gives an IP40 rating, and the material carries a UL94 HB flame rating.

Each MB105025 comes boxed with the box, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws (M3 x 7 mm self-tapping for the internal standoffs). Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, weighs 0.13 lbs (0.06 kg), and can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing.
