The MB126540VL is the vented-lid version of the 120 x 65 x 40 mm MB Series enclosure. It is a rugged plastic instrument box for printed circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications, with a ventilated lid for electronics that benefit from airflow.
The box is molded in polystyrene, with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and a smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). The front and rear panels are an integral part of the bottom unit. Four cover screws, shown as M3-0.5 x 14mm on the drawing, thread into integrated brass inserts, and they are hidden in a recess in the base.
It measures 4.72 x 2.56 x 1.57 in (120 x 65 x 40 mm) outside, with 114 x 59 x 34 mm of internal space. The ventilated lid gives an IP20 rating, and the polystyrene is rated UL94 HB.
Each MB126540VL includes the box, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws. The recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). It weighs 0.21 lbs (0.10 kg), is RoHS and REACH compliant, and is available with factory milling, drilling or printing.
