The MB105040VL is the ventilated-lid version of the 100 x 50 x 40 mm MB Series enclosure. Vent slots in the lid make it a practical housing for circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications where some air exchange is wanted and full dust sealing is not required.
Like the rest of the MB Series, it is molded in polystyrene with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). The front and rear panels are integral to the bottom unit. Four cover screws, M3-0.5 x 14mm per the drawing, fasten into integrated brass inserts and are recessed out of sight in the base.
The outside measures 3.94 x 1.97 x 1.57 in (100 x 50 x 40 mm). Internal dimensions are 94 mm long, 44 mm wide and 34 mm deep. As a vented version it is rated IP20, and the material has a UL94 HB flame rating.
In the box you receive the enclosure, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws for the internal standoffs. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). The MB105040VL weighs 0.15 lbs (0.07 kg), is RoHS and REACH compliant, and can be factory modified with milling, drilling or printing.
