Hammond HYW423616SS 42x36x16 Hygienic Stainless Steel Wall Enclosure

The HYW423616SS is a 42 x 36 in hygienic wallmount enclosure with a 16 in depth, measuring 42 in high, 36 in wide and 16 in deep (1,067 x 914 x 406 mm). It is built to house electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, hygienic settings where panels are cleaned by hose, and its depth gives extra room over the 12 in version of the same footprint.

It is formed from smooth 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and the cover and body carry a natural stainless #4 dairy finish. The 25° sloped top prevents water from resting on the enclosure and can be used for controls mounting. Door stiffeners are provided where required for rigidity.

Door hardware is designed around cleaning. Interior hinges open 105 degrees and come off easily to reverse the swing. The hygienic blue silicone gasket runs around the complete door edge and can be removed and re-installed for cleaning, with HYG4236 as the replacement. Hygienic 316 stainless quarter-turn latches require a tool, and an internal alignment guide limits door sag. According to the drawing, the door opening is 39.25 x 33.54 in, overall height 48.76 in and overall depth 16.86 in.

Collar studs are provided for the optional 18P3933 inner panel (39.00 x 33.00 in), and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts is included. Without pre-drilled wall holes, the HYW423616SS can be weld-in-place or stand-off mounted. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure.

It is listed UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, meets NSF/ANSI 169 and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and IEC 60529 IP66, IP69 and IP69K. Shipping weight: 150 lbs (68.04 kg).
