Hammond HYW483612SS 48x36x12 Hygienic Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

At 48 in high, 36 in wide and 12 in deep (1,219 x 914 x 305 mm), the HYW483612SS is a tall hygienic wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. It is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, hygienic environments, and suits integrators building larger panels for washdown areas.

The body is formed, smooth 304 stainless with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural stainless #4 dairy finish on cover and enclosure. A top sloped at 25° prevents standing water and offers potential for controls mounting. Door stiffeners are provided where required for increased strength and rigidity.

The door uses interior hinges with a 105 degree opening that can be removed for reverse door swing or on-site modifications. A hygienic blue silicone gasket is mounted around the entire door edge and can be taken out to clean or replace (replacement HYG4836). Hygienic 316 stainless quarter-turn latches require a tool to open, and an internal alignment guide limits door sag. The drawing shows a 45.25 x 33.54 in door opening and an overall height of 52.89 in.

Inside, collar studs accept the optional 18P4533 inner panel, 45.00 x 33.00 in (1143 x 838 mm), and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts is included. The HYW483612SS has no pre-drilled wall mounting holes, allowing weld-in-place or stand-off mounting, and has a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure.

Standards: UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12; NSF/ANSI 169; complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and IEC 60529 IP66, IP69 and IP69K. It ships at 150 lbs (68.04 kg).
