For larger hygienic control panels, the HYW423612SS provides a 42 in high, 36 in wide and 12 in deep (1,067 x 914 x 305 mm) wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. It is intended to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, hygienic environments.
The enclosure is formed from smooth 304 stainless with continuously welded seams ground smooth, finished in natural stainless with a smooth #4 dairy finish. Its top is sloped 25°, which stops water from sitting on the enclosure and gives potential space for controls. Door stiffeners are provided where required for strength and rigidity.
The door hangs on interior hinges that open to 105 degrees and can be removed for reverse swing or on-site modifications. A hygienic blue silicone gasket is mounted around the entire door edge and lifts out for cleaning or replacement with part HYG4236. The 316 stainless quarter-turn hygienic latches need a tool to open, and an internal alignment guide limits door sag. The drawing lists a 39.25 x 33.54 in door opening and 46.89 in overall height.
Collar studs are provided for the optional 18P3933 inner panel (39.00 x 33.00 in / 991 x 838 mm), with a hardware kit and panel mounting nuts included. With no pre-drilled wall holes, the HYW423612SS can be welded in place or stood off from the wall. Bonding and grounding studs are fitted.
Ratings include UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, NSF/ANSI 169, and compliance with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and IEC 60529 IP66, IP69 and IP69K. Shipping weight is 140 lbs (63.50 kg).
