Hammond HYG105 Replacement Silicone Gasket for 10 x 5 in HYPB Box

The HYG105 is a hygienic N4X replacement gasket for the three-hole enclosures in the HYPB Series of hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. The series ordering table lists it as the replacement gasket for both the HYMPB3SS (22mm holes) and the HYPB3SS (30mm holes), which share a 9.94 in (252 mm) high by 4.88 in (124 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep body.

HYPB Series enclosures use a silicone gasket that mounts around the entire door edge, so there is no hidden channel for residue to collect in during hose-down cleaning. The series documentation states the gasket can be easily removed and re-installed for cleaning or replacement and that additional silicone gaskets can be ordered separately. The series overview describes a removable blue silicone gasket that is easier to spot contaminants on.

The HYG105 is listed at 10 in x 5 in x 1 in (254 mm x 127 mm x 25 mm) and ships in a bag at 1 lb (0.45 kg). Its part drawing shows front-view outline dimensions of 9.18 in by 4.18 in, with 8.32 in, 3.32 in and 0.50 in called out on the side and bottom views. It carries UL File # E517628/E65324 and is REACH and RoHS compliant.

The enclosures it serves are formed 304 stainless steel, sloped 3° on all four sides, with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a #4 dairy finish, and are rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IP69/IP69K. Keeping a HYG105 on the shelf lets plant maintenance restore the door seal on a three-button station quickly after a gasket is damaged or needs deep cleaning.
