Hammond HYG129 HYJ1294SS Replacement Hygienic Silicone Gasket

HYG129 is a hygienic N4X silicone gasket made to replace the door seal on the HYJ1294SS, the 11.94 in high model in the HYJ Series of Hygienic Type 4X Stainless Steel Junction Boxes. Plant maintenance staff and panel shops working in hose-down environments use it to renew the seal on an installed box during cleaning or repair.

The HYJ design mounts its silicone gasket around the whole door edge. That exposed, edge-mounted layout is what allows efficient cleaning, and the gasket can be pulled off and re-installed as often as sanitation requires. Additional silicone gaskets are sold separately from the enclosure, and the HYG129 is the listed replacement for this size. The hygienic line specifies a blue silicone gasket so residue and contaminants are easier to see.
