Hammond HWFWD3042UBK 42U Smoked Acrylic Window Door, 30-Inch Wide

HWFWD3042UBK is the optional black window door for the 42U, 30-inch wide HWF Series wall and floor mount rack cabinet (HWF3042U36BK / HWF3042U36WH). It is intended for IT and telecom installations where equipment inside the swing-out cabinet needs to stay visible while remaining locked and enclosed, such as data rooms, intermediate distribution frames and edge computing spaces.

The door is built from mild steel with a textured black powder coat finish and carries a 0.24 in (6 mm) smoked acrylic window panel for visibility into the rack. A swing handle key lock (FH333) with a .560 offset cam secures the door, and three left-hand surface door hinges with matching hinge cover plates provide the pivot. Three stick-on rubber bumper feet and six #10-24 x 3/8 in black thread-cutting screws are supplied for assembly; the hinge components and latch hardware ship loose for field installation.

Nominal size is 73 in x 30 in x 1 in (1,854 mm x 762 mm x 25 mm), with a shipping weight of 90 lbs (40.82 kg). Drawing dimensions show a 29.69 in (754 mm) door width and front-view dimensions of 73.50 in (1,867 mm) and 80.32 in (2,040 mm).

HWFWD3042UBK is listed under UL file E475597 and is cULus recognized and TAA-compliant, manufactured in Canada, and RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant. Within the HWF Series, cabinets with a door installed meet PCI DSS requirements, making the window door a practical choice for secured yet observable equipment. Solid and vented door versions and a white finish are available as separate part numbers in the same series.
