Hammond HWFWD3048UBK 48U Smoked Acrylic Window Door, 30 in Wide

HWFWD3048UBK is the optional window door for 48U HWF Series wall and floor mount rack cabinets in the 30" wide configuration, finished in black textured paint. It is intended for IT and telecom installations where equipment needs to stay visible and locked behind a front panel — IDF and edge computing rooms, data rooms and network closets built around the HWF swing-out cabinet.

The door panel is mild steel with a 0.24 in (6 mm) smoked acrylic window, so front-panel LEDs and equipment status can be checked without opening the cabinet. Overall size is 90.8 in x 30 in x 1 in (2,306 mm x 762 mm x 25 mm), with the drawing showing an overall door height of 90.82 in (2,307 mm). Shipping weight is 68 lbs (30.84 kg).

The door ships as a complete kit: HWF plexi door, a swing handle key lock (FH333), an offset cam, three surface door hinges (LH) with three hinge cover plates, three stick-on rubber bumper feet, and six #10-24 x 3/8 in black thread-cutting screws. Hinge components and latch hardware are shipped loose for field assembly and left-hand hinging as drawn.

Within the HWF Series, doors are matched to cabinet height, and HWFWD3048UBK is the black window-door option for 48U cabinets; solid and vented doors are listed separately for the same height. The HWF Series notes that optional locking doors provide security, airflow and visibility options depending on application, and that the cabinet meets PCI DSS requirements with a door installed.
