Hammond HW483612S16HK 48x36x12-Inch 316 Stainless NEMA 4X Hinged Enclosure

The HW483612S16HK is a 316 stainless steel wallmount enclosure measuring 48 x 36 x 12 in (1,219 x 914 x 305 mm). Designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment, it protects against harsh industrial environments and is intended for locations where equipment is hosed down or exposed to wet conditions and corrosion, such as processing plants, utilities, outdoor municipal and petrochemical sites.

It is constructed of formed stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth. The formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. The door is carried on a stainless steel continuous hinge, removable by pulling the hinge pin, and closes with a 316 stainless pad lockable handle and 3 point roller latching system. Both cover and enclosure are natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish.

Drawing dimensions include a 33.25 x 45.25 in door opening, 30.90 x 44.46 in clear space on the door, 13.23 in overall depth and 0.44 in mounting holes on a 30.00 x 49.25 in pattern. The optional 18P4533 inner panel (45.00 x 33.00 in) attaches to the collar studs, and a door bonding stud and body grounding stud are fitted.

The HW483612S16HK is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It ships boxed at 186 lbs (84.37 kg).
