The HW423612S16HK is a 316 stainless steel wallmount enclosure measuring 42 x 36 x 12 in (1,067 x 914 x 305 mm). It is intended to enclose electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial environments, especially where equipment is hosed down or exposed to wet conditions and corrosion. Processing plants, utilities, outdoor municipal and petrochemical locations are typical applications.
The stainless body is formed with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door, which is mounted on a stainless continuous hinge and can be removed by pulling the hinge pin. A 316 stainless pad lockable handle operates a 3 point roller latching system. The finish is natural stainless steel, smooth brushed.
From the drawing: door opening 33.25 x 39.30 in, clear space available on the door 30.90 x 38.95 in, overall depth 13.23 in, and 0.44 in mounting holes on a 30.00 x 43.25 in pattern. Collar studs support the optional 18P3933 inner panel (39.00 x 33.00 in). A bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure are provided.
The HW423612S16HK is listed UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It ships in a box at 180 lbs (81.65 kg).
