Hammond FT900TA1220BK 900 CFM 220 VAC 1U Rack Cooling Tray

The FT900TA1220BK is a 1U rack mount fan tray built for high-density cooling in networking, telecommunications, industrial automation, AV and server racks. It carries nine thermally protected ball-bearing fans that deliver 900 CFM of free flow air, making it the highest-airflow configuration in the FT Series. This version runs on 220 VAC and is supplied without an on/off switch, so it suits permanent installations where the tray is powered continuously or controlled upstream.

Construction is heavy-duty mild steel finished in black textured powder paint. The tray measures 19.000 in (482.60 mm) wide and 1.750 in (44.45 mm) high — a single rack unit — with a case depth of 18.50 in (470 mm). Power is rated 230 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 3 Amps, with 0.79 running amps and 120 running watts. A 10A, 230V IEC 320-C14 inlet receptacle accepts a detachable cord set, and a resettable circuit breaker helps safeguard the tray during operation. Integrated finger guards above and below the fans improve safety while maintaining unrestricted airflow. Measured noise is 69 dB.

Because the FT900TA1220BK installs directly into the rack rather than the cabinet shell, airflow can be placed exactly where it is needed: at the bottom of the rack as an intake, at the top as an exhaust, or immediately beneath heat-producing switches and servers for spot cooling.

• Adjustable rear support bracket depth from 7.90 in (201 mm) to 24.70 in (627 mm) for stability in deeper cabinets.
• Front mounting to combination rails uses 10-32 hardware (not supplied).

The tray is TAA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, cRUus recognized and made in Canada. A switched equivalent is available as FT900HA1220BK.
