Hammond FT900TA1BK 900 CFM 9-Fan 1U Rack Cooling Tray, 115 VAC

The FT900TA1BK is a 1U rack mount fan tray built for 19" rack mounting, using nine thermally protected ball-bearing fans to deliver 900 CFM of free flow air. It is intended for IT, telecom, AV and industrial teams who need to add real airflow to a populated rack without modifying the cabinet. This version runs on 115 VAC and is supplied without an on/off switch, making it suited to permanently powered installations (the switched equivalent in the series is FT900HA1BK).

Construction is heavy-duty mild steel in a black finish, with integrated finger guards above and below the fans so airflow stays unrestricted while the moving parts remain guarded. A resettable circuit breaker is fitted on the front panel for protection during operation. The tray ships fully assembled.

Overall size is 1.75 in x 17 in x 18.5 in (44 mm x 432 mm x 470 mm), with a 19.000 in (482.60 mm) front panel width across the mounting flanges and a 1.750 in (44.45 mm) 1U panel height. Case depth is 18.50 in (470 mm) and shipping weight is 27 lbs (12.25 kg). Because it is a nine-fan model, the FT900TA1BK includes an adjustable rear support bracket for stability in deeper cabinets, adjustable over a rear bracket depth of 7.90 in (201 mm) minimum to 24.70 in (627 mm) maximum.

Installation follows the series assembly instructions: the support brackets mount to the rear combination rails, extension brackets are set to the measured front-to-rear rail distance using the supplied 6-32 screws and #6 washers, and the tray is secured to the front rails with 10-32 hardware (10-32 screws and clip nuts are not supplied). Power connects via a 125 V cord with a moulded NEMA 5-15P plug into a UL/CSA compliant outlet. Rated noise is 69 dB. The FT900TA1BK is cRUus listed, TAA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and made in Canada.
