Hammond EN4SD483610S16R 48x36x10-Inch Quarter-Turn 316 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD483610S16R is a 316 stainless steel Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure sized 48 in x 36 in x 10 in (1,219 mm x 914 mm x 254 mm). It pairs a large 48 x 36 in face with a 10 in depth, giving OEM engineers and panel shops broad mounting area for electrical and electronic equipment that has to survive harsh, industrial conditions.

The enclosure is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. Its hinged door closes on Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket, with hidden hinges and stainless steel hinge pins. A door alignment guide is provided for this 36 in width, the door can be removed for modifications, and adapter kit EHLLSAK reverses the swing. The finish is natural brushed stainless steel.

The drawing gives a 34.41 in x 46.31 in door opening, a 35.97 in x 47.97 in door and 30.65 in x 46.00 in of clear space available on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 in x 46.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. The optional EP4836 inner panel measures 46.20 in x 34.20 in (1173 mm x 869 mm) and mounts on collar studs; an inner panel is required at this width to maintain UL/CSA.

The EN4SD483610S16R is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It ships in a box at 131 lbs (59.42 kg). The 304 counterpart is EN4SD483610SSR.
