Hammond EN4SD482410S16 48x24x10-Inch 3-Point Handle 316 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD482410S16 is a tall, narrow Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel measuring 48 in x 24 in x 10 in (1,219 mm x 610 mm x 254 mm). Unlike the quarter-turn sizes around it, this size uses Latch Type B: a stainless steel handle with 3 point latching. Its short description notes it is supplied with no panel. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments.

The body is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip to keep out flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door, which uses hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins, can be removed for modifications, and can have its swing reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. The finish is natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed look.

The drawing shows a 22.31 in x 46.31 in door opening, a 23.97 in x 47.97 in door and 18.65 in x 46.00 in of clear space available on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 22.50 in x 46.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. The optional inner panel for this size is EP4824, listed at 46.20 in x 26.20 in (1173 mm x 665 mm), and collar studs are provided to mount it.

Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, with compliance to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. The EN4SD482410S16 ships boxed at 92 lbs (41.73 kg). The 304 counterpart is EN4SD482410SS.
