Hammond EN4SD36248S16 36x24x8 in 316 Stainless Type 4X Wall Enclosure

The EN4SD36248S16 is a 36 in high x 24 in wide x 8 in deep (914 x 610 x 203 mm) Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel. Its tall format gives room for vertically arranged electrical and electronic equipment, and it is designed to protect that equipment in harsh, industrial environments.

The enclosure is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural brushed finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. Type A latching uses stainless steel slotted quarter turns, and the stainless steel hinge pins sit in hidden hinges. The door can be removed for modification work and its swing reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK.

The part drawing shows a door opening of 22.49 in x 34.49 in (W x H), a door of 23.97 in x 35.86 in, 22.00 in x 34.00 in of clear space available on the door, and an 8.70 in inside depth. Ø 0.50 in wall mounting holes are sealed using the included panel mounting nuts and sealing washers.

Collar studs accept the optional EP3624 inner panel, 34.20 in (869 mm) x 22.20 in (564 mm), which is not included. A bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure are provided. Standards: UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and compliance with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements.
