Hammond EJ444LG 4x4x4 Light Gray Type 4 Quarter-Turn Junction Box

The EJ444LG is the 4 x 4 x 4 in Eclipse Junior enclosure finished in RAL 7035 textured light gray. It is a Type 4 mild steel single-door wallmount junction box with a continuous hinge door and quarter turn latches, designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect against harsh, industrial environments. Typical uses are instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures.

It measures 4.00 in H x 4.00 in W x 4.00 in D (102 x 102 x 102 mm). The 16 gauge steel body and cover have smooth, continuously welded seams with no knockouts, cutouts or holes, and a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. Mounting is through 14 gauge welded brackets: 5.50 in overall height, Ø0.31 in holes on 4.75 x 2.75 in centres; overall depth is 4.61 in.

The door opens 180° on 304 stainless steel continuous hinges and closes on a seamless poured-in place gasket, with black zinc diecast quarter turn latches that need a tool to open. At 4" x 4" this model does not include an inner panel. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud on the enclosure and grounding hardware are provided.

The EJ444LG is rated UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 (UL File # E65324) and CSA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 (CSA Cert. # LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The recoatable powder finish is RAL 7035 textured light gray inside and out; the ANSI 61 smooth gray version is EJ444. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg), boxed.
