Hammond EJ443LG 4x4x3 Light Gray Type 4 Quarter-Turn Junction Box

The EJ443LG is the RAL 7035 textured light gray version of the 4 x 4 x 3 in Eclipse Junior enclosure, a Type 4 mild steel single-door wallmount junction box with a continuous hinge door and quarter turn latches. It is built to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments, serving as an instrument enclosure, control housing for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic systems, electrical junction box or terminal wiring enclosure.

Enclosure dimensions are 4.00 in H x 4.00 in W x 3.00 in D (102 x 102 x 76 mm). Body and cover are 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams free of knockouts, cutouts or holes, and a formed lip on the enclosure keeps out flowing liquids and contaminants. The 14 gauge welded brackets give a 5.50 in overall height with Ø0.31 in mounting holes on 4.75 x 2.75 in centres; overall depth is 3.61 in.

The door rides on 304 stainless steel continuous hinges with 180° opening and closes on a seamless poured-in place gasket, held by black zinc diecast quarter turn latches that need a tool to open. This 4" x 4" size does not include an inner panel. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud on the enclosure and grounding hardware are provided.

The EJ443LG is rated UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 (UL File # E65324) and CSA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 (CSA Cert. # LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. Its recoatable powder finish is RAL 7035 textured light gray inside and out; the ANSI 61 smooth gray equivalent is EJ443. Shipping weight is 2 lbs (0.91 kg) in a box.
