The DNDMV19BK1 is a 2U vented centered rack shelf built to carry non-rackmount equipment in 19 in 2-post (relay) racks. It suits telecom installers, data center and network room teams, industrial control panel builders, and AV or broadcast integrators who need a stable platform for servers, UPS units, network devices and similar gear that has no rack ears of its own.
Construction is 16-gauge mild steel with front and rear flanges formed for added strength; those flanges also act as retainers that help keep equipment from shifting on the shelf. The finish is a textured black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. This vented version uses 0.24 x 1.50 in slots across the shelf surface to let heat rise away from warm equipment, while the solid DNDMS19BK1 offers full-surface support instead.
Overall dimensions are 3.50 in (89 mm) high by 19.50 in (495 mm) deep, occupying 2U of rack space with a 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width. The shelf is rated for a maximum load of 200 lb (91 kg), and shipping weight is 12 lbs (5.44 kg).
The centered mounting position places the shelf between the front and rear rails so weight is distributed across both, which improves stability compared with front-only mounted shelves and helps when supporting deeper equipment.
